Kwame Sarfo-Mensah
Kwame Sarfo-Mensah is a dynamic educator and consultant dedicated to fostering culturally responsive, anti-bias, and anti-racist (ABAR) practices in education. As the founder and CEO of Identity Talk Consulting, LLC, Kwame works with educators worldwide to enhance instructional practices and develop identity-affirming, culturally responsive pedagogies. His work empowers educators to navigate the challenges of today’s classrooms while fostering equity and inclusivity. Kwame has extensive experience as a Teacher Mentor and CRT Coach, providing personalized coaching to educators and school leaders on culturally responsive teaching and leadership. His expertise includes delivering high-quality professional development sessions, both virtually and in person, on topics like diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), mathematics education, and social justice in curriculum design. In addition to his consultancy work, Kwame has served in various teaching and leadership roles, including middle and high school mathematics teaching positions in Massachusetts, as well as coaching and curriculum development for schools globally. He is also the author of Shaping the Teacher Identity, a book designed to guide educators through self-reflection and professional growth in their teaching journey. Kwame is a two-time recipient of the Top Education Influencer Award by EdPost, and his influence extends through his regular editorial contributions on ABAR education and social justice topics. With a Master of Education in Elementary Education from Temple University, Kwame continues to be a leading voice in transforming education systems for the better.
